

Ashley Branch
Ashley is a senior public relations and journalism student at James Madison University. She loves finding local spots to eat wherever she travels, and making cheap and easy meals at home. When she’s not eating chocolate or ribs, she loves reading, hiking, and going to concerts.

Colleen Lyons
Colleen is a senior public relations major at James Madison University. After graduating, she hopes to work for a public relations agency in either her home state of Massachusetts or in Washington DC. Over the summer, Colleen interned at a marketing agency where she did public relations for restaurants across the city of Boston, becoming familiar with food trends. Colleen loves trying new baked good recipes to give away to friends and trying every brunch spot in town.

Gina Jelliff
Gina is a New Jersey native who grew up on home cooked meals. She has Italian roots and has developed a love for food. Growing up in the New York City area has also allowed her to indulge on bagels, pizza and many delicious desserts. She is a junior public relations major with a minor in educational media at James Madison University. When she is not studying, you willfind her looking up the latest recipes, trying to not lose her summer tan and cheering for the New York Giants.

Katie McVicar
Katie is a junior public relations major with minors in music and computer science at James Madison University. Her love of food and marketing doesn’t stop with Chews and Booze, she is also a PR intern at the Harrisonburg Farmer’s Market. Her favorite pastimes include looking up casserole recipes on Pinterest, and cooking for all of her friends and family.

Madeline Sita
Madeline is a junior communications major with a concentration in public relations and a minor in sports communications at James Madison University. She held two marketing internships at WRNR 103.1FM and Ram’s Head On Stage in her hometown of Annapolis, MD. Some tasks included, composing media kits, proofing artist and band bios, and lots of blogging! At JMU, she is an active member of Boarderline Snowboarding, PRSSA, Club Handball, and Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity. In her spare time she loves to attend food festivals and local eateries around Harrisonburg and in the DC area.

Sean Johnson
Sean has a variety of public relations, marketing and communications internships under his belt including a summer at the renowned FesteVents in Norfolk, Virginia. He is a local musician, an environmental advocate and a modern day maverick. Within his time at JMU, Sean has extensively researched the local eateries and bars (mostly the bars) throughout Harrisonburg. This gives him an unique perspective on the places Chews and Booze brings to you.
