Flaming Hot Cheetos Mozzarella Sticks Recipe

I'll be honest with you, my guilty pleasure is a giant bag of Flaming Hot Cheetos. Whenever I stumble across a recipe that uses them, I immediately pin it for later.

I have wanted to use Flaming Hot Cheetos as a batter for frying for a while now. So by combining my love of cheese, spicy food, and all things fried, I have made the ultimate "Katie McVicar" cheat day snack. Thanks to the blog, Sick Chirpse, I found an incredible recipe to base my recipe off of. I never would have thought to add Panko in with the crumbled Cheetos in order to enhance the crispiness; so for that, thank you, Sick Chirpse.

One word of advice on this recipe, you can adjust the Cheetos to Panko ratio based on the desired spice level.

Flaming Hot Cheetos Mozzerella Sticks:

Ingredients:

2 cup Flaming Hot Cheetos, processed or crushed

5 or 6 Mozzerella String Cheese Sticks

1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs

2 eggs, beat

Cooking Oil

Directions:

1. Heat, on low, enough oil in your pan to coat the bottom generously.

2. Pour the Cheetos into your food proccessor (I used my magic bullet) and make sure they are ground very well.

3. Mix the ground Cheetos with the panko, and pour onto a plate. Spread the Cheetos mixture onto the plate so it is evenly covered.

4. Crack your eggs into a bowl and mix them well. Take a cheese stick and dip it into the egg wash, then roll it around in the Cheetos mixture, then repeat again (egg wash then Cheetos mixture.) Do this to the rest of your cheese sticks.

5. Place the final product into your frying pan, and fry until crispy on both sides (approx. 1 minute per side)
