Cascara is a tea-like drink with a fine, fruity flavor and plenty of caffeine, and it's popping up everywhere. It has become a very popular staple in LatinAamerica and is moving its way to coffee shops throughout the U.S.
So what makes Cascara different? Well first off, it's made from the pulp of the coffea plant: the seeds of which are roasted into the coffee beans we know and love. Usually, when the seeds are extracted the rest of the plant goes unused. However, famers In South America have found that thenpulp can create a tasty drink that is made just like tea.
The fruity taste comes from the thick sweetness of the cherry (pulp) and has as much caffenine as a cup of black tea.

There is however, a debate on how to serve this game changing beverage. Some coffee houses in New york have take to seving it cold to accetnuate the fruity flavors, while others in Housotn have repoted seving it hot allows the falvors to blend easier.
You'll soon be able to decide for yourself as Cascara becomes more and more popular.
